Lagoon Under Snow

Here's a lovely reminder of the beauty and serenity of winter. I sense so much tranquility in the gorgeous piece. If you love snow and winter, you would be quite at home in Colorado high country, including our mountain towns. We usually get our first snow storm of the season some time between late September and mid October. It continues to snow off 'n on until late May or early June of the following year. Colorado is gorgeous beyond belief. We have been blessed with 54 mountains higher than 14,000 feet and approximately 630 summits higher than 13,000 feet. No wonder one of the flattering nicknames for Colorado is THE SWITZERLAND OF AMERICA. Another one is COLORADO ROCKY MOUNTAIN HIGH, JUST A BREATH AWAY FROM HEAVEN.
